The Position

• Management of Chartering-, Vessel Operations, Agency, Accounting and Admin teams totaling 13 employees
• Oversee commercial deployment and operations of 12 vessels
• Ensuring smooth day-to-day operation
• Position requires working strategically with the Board of Directors as well as development of operational plan incorporating goals that work towards the strategic direction of the organization
• Planning budgets, providing monthly reporting to the Board of Directors

Recognizing that this position is an important “first point of contact” in the industry for the company, the Managing Director must have strong communication skills and the ability to represent the company professionally at a senior level.

The ideal candidate

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the shipping industry; with minimum of 3 years of experience at a similar level to the posted position
• Understanding of management of shipping company; experience within product- and/or chemical-tankers chartering and vessel operations at managerial level
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to digest corporate legal documents
• Effective organizational skills with ability to prioritize a wide range of tasks
