The candidate should have at least 7 years of experience in COMPRESSOR for design and Engineering roles.
Purpose:
Reporting to the Group Leader Mechanical you will be responsible for providing engineering support ensuring safe, cost effective designs are being produced for project delivery.
Core Accountabilities
- Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility.
- Assists the Lead Mechanical Engineer in the management of Mechanical Group’s day to day activities / deliverables.
- Prepares Scope of Work (SOW), Work Demarcation Table, Work Schedule and Man-hour Estimation for the above mentioned purpose.
- Coordinates the development of the design of individual RFS and Work Order including support to home office such as providing additional local information and data.
- Prepares the execution plan for mechanical/equipment design and engineering with the Lead Mechanical Engineer.
- Supervise the Mechanical Engineer and Designer for executing the above mentioned activities to implement without fail in terms of quality and schedule.
- Check and review engineering deliverables.
- Prepare Individual Design Plan at start of project.
- Attend QA Audit for concerned projects.
- Provide Procurement Plan.
- Prepare corrective action for CAR (Corrective Action Request).
- Contribute LL (Lessons Learned).
- Responsible for execution of project (schedule & quality of design).
- Work execution based on PEP and IDP.
- Monitor and control design change, and prepare the report.
- Maintains, controls and monitors Mechanical Quality Assurance System based on CAEL quality system.
- Implementation, monitoring and control of ISMS as per CAEL Information Security Manual.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary/technical qualifications in Mechanical engineering discipline are essential.
- Knowledge of Design Codes, Specifications and latest design engineering and analytical techniques and software is essential.
- Knowledge of mechanical and support layout design.
- Knowledge of mechanical material specification.
- Understanding of P&ID.
- Understanding of selection, testing and performance monitoring technique of mechanical equipment.
Experience & Technical Competencies:
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate broad experience in Oil & Gas Brownfield and Greenfield facilities, preferably with EPCM contractors. Middle East experience on similar projects would be an advantage.
- Demonstrated success in past project involvement and technical delivery of small to medium size projects.
- Proven ability to influence and mentor others in safety principles and behaviours.
- Demonstrated high order interpersonal skills and the ability to operate within a multinational environment, with wide exposure to various cultures and customs.
- Excellent communication skills (both written & verbal) with ability to interact across multiple disciplines.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and motivate others with regard to continuous improvement.
- A high level of computer literacy.
