The chartering department is responsible for the contracts of affreightment as well as time- and spot charters of our gas tankers, therefore this department responsible for the largest part of our turnover . Hence we are looking for candidates with a proven commercial record and in addition that you are a team player and are able to build bridges between the various departments involved.

As a chartering broker you:

• work closely together with a team in the chartering department in Rotterdam;
• are responsible for an effective and efficient planning of our ships and their cargo;
• negotiate freight rates, conditions and charter parties with clients and others involved;
• are responsible for the further commercial development of existing and new contacts with clients and brokers;

 You will be responsible for:

• fixing spot cargoes by negotiating the best price and conditions with charterers and brokers of liquid gas all over the world;
• coordinating various parties the planned voyages with a clear focus on quality, service and reliability for our clients;
• monitoring the progress and financial results of the various contracts and voyages;

 For this position you need to:

• have a Bachelor degree or similar level of experience in maritime transport and/or logistics;
• have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial role;
• be fluent in English (written and verbal), knowledge of the Dutch is a preference;
• have a flexible approach to working hours when required;

Experience with liquid gas or liquid bulk is preferred.
