Position Summary:
YANMAR America is seeking a Business Unit Manager for its Commercial Marine Diesel Engines business unit. The opportunity is a business development and sales driven position. The incumbent will lead the business unit to develop and achieve targets and maintain alignment with business strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage business unit and staff. Maintain close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the organization’s efficient operation and success.

- Develop and facilitate successful implementation of programs, policies, processes and procedures.
- Plan, organize, direct and track all major program components including costs, schedules, resources, deliverables, etc.
- Lead process development, implementation and continuous improvement.
- Work with business unit staff to develop and implement marketing plans for assigned products by establishing effective selling strategies.
- Develop relationships with Key Strategic Customers and YJ Management (Japan) & Staff.
- Participate in Customer Meetings, Industry Trade Shows and Industry Association Meetings as needed.
- Develop budgets and manages profit & loss for the business unit.
- Participate in YA Committee Meetings as needed.
- Participate in monthly RHQ Meetings with YJ in person or by video conference.
- Negotiate with customers and outside vendors as appropriate.
