Job Description
1. Responsible for clearing waterways, creating channels, reclaiming wetland and managing other water related areas.
2. Operator of cutter suction dredger continuously juggle numerous processes, such as the swing process in relation to the anchor positions and the desired dredging depth/profile, the cutting process, the pumping process and field of forces around the spud carrier.
3. Operate and maintain cutter suction system related equipment such a dump track or hydraulic suction machine.
4. Involve repairing and performing routine maintenance on your equipment of dredging system.
5. Move levers to positions dredges for excavation to engage hydraulic pumps, to raise and lower suction booms, and to control rotation of cutter heads.
6. Operate the dredger and booster at a maximum daily production, according to the operation capabilities of the dredger and boosters and ensure the daily production according to the project requirement.
7. Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in transporting joining pipe to provide outlet for excavated material discharged from dredge.
8. Operate the dredger and booster optimally and safety according to HSE requirements.
9. Controlling and Monitoring the system's parameters in gauges, dials or other indicators and to make sure a machine is working properly.
10. Provide accurate information to dredger master on work done/performance, accident/delays, status of assets and work forecasts aligned with project requirement.
11. Activate dredge engine and lowers dredge baskets or hydraulic dredger to sea bottom using hoisting boom winch.
