URGENT REQUIREMENT FOR
Technical Superintendent
For our fleet of coastal cement carriers
To plan and carry out the maintenance of ships and other equipment's in workshop, both PMS and breakdown.
Plan and execute all ships dry-docking well before due dates
Preparation of budgets, monitoring of costs, scheduling and execution of dry-docks.
Monitor & manage supply of stores and spares to ship, maintain optimum inventory level and control inventory costs.
Arrange external workshops for outsourcing ships machinery overhauls
Scheduling surveys and preparing vessels for survey, ensuring compliance to statutory regulations.
Ensure implementation and compliance of H&S policies for shore and ship staff.
Provide necessary training to all team members ashore and on ship in O&M.
Ensure optimum efficiency of all ships operating parameters.
Keep Head of Shipping informed of all the plans and suggest innovations for improvement in efficiency.
Plan and carry out necessary modifications to ships equipment for efficiency improvement and operational cost reduction.
Qualification – BE Mechanical or equivalent marine engineering qualification, MOT Class I (Motor)
Experience – 3 to 4 Years Shore experience. Sound technical knowledge and RCA skills, exposure to Du pont OH&S systems and processes will be an advantage, experience on cement carriers will be an added advantage. Clear communication skills and good man management skills are essential.
Candidates with more experience and relevant seniority may be considered for the position of Fleet Manager
Terms of Employment – Permanent
Location: Surat or Navi Mumbai.
Remuneration commensurate with qualifications and experience.
