Assisting our Ship Management Centres in verifying system and
operational compliance / implementation on board all full managed
ships. Identifying areas of improvements in a systematic manner with
a view to mitigate risks in safe ship operations.
In coordination with other teams/units, executes inspections, audits
and trainings on board assigned ships as per agreed ship visit plan.
Assist ship and shore staff with the effective implementation of
corrective and preventive actions on the findings.
On request conduct incident investigations on board ships.
Requirements:
Education & Qualifications:
1st Class Certificate of Competency (Master or Chief Engineer).
Preferably completed ISM / ISPS / ISO14001 Auditors course and
superintendent training course.
At least one to two years’ experience in ship inspections and audits
preferably as Superintendent. Experience in on board training
desirable. Tanker ship type experience will be an added advantage
Good knowledge of systems, procedures, rules and regulations.
Masters and Chief Engineers presently sailing on board willing to
take up fresh shore assignments as auditors may also apply.
Work Experience:

techniques and comprehensive reporting.
Reasonable knowledge on interpretation and application of relevant
industry codes, standards and conventions, e.g. MARPOL, SOLAS,
STCW, MLC, ISO14001, OHSAS18001, TMSA Guidelines, ISM and ISPS
Codes
Should have a good eye to bring out issues or areas of concern on
board including underlying root causes and provide solutions.
Compensation will be commensurate with Experience & Qualification.
