Tolani Maritime Institute (TMI) was founded in 1998 by Dr. NP Tolani, Varuna Award Winner and doyen of the modern Indian Shipping.TMI is dedicated to delivering high quality and continually improving maritime education and training to prepare budding seafarers for rewarding careers in the shipping and allied industry.

TMI offers undergraduate, post-graduate and a variety of short-term value addition programs to substantially make a difference in the competency levels of the seafarers. Since inception, TMI has achieved a status of benchmark institute in the region offering over 7500 qualified and competent people for the shipping industry.
